My name is Maureen.
Fun facts first: I have two pugs, (Fred and Mabel) and two daughters. I love toadstools and gnomes, (I actually own over 90 gnomes), and the East Coast, (used to live there, left my heart there).
You may have seen me on the side of the road photographing sunsets, on the beach photographing families, or at a wedding or event photographing you!
Some of you might know me as Gal Capone Photography, and some may know me under my new business name Madawaska Media. I’m still out there photographing all the things and families and moments in between it all.
I have always loved shooting weddings, but found them a bit daunting on my own. You see, there is SO much happening on wedding day, and I hate having to miss any sweet little moments that make up your day.
I hired Sebastian many years ago to second shoot for me, and we quickly discovered how well we worked together. I always jokingly called us the “dream team”, but truth be told, we kinda are.
On your wedding day you are guaranteed two top notch photographers who share a similar aesthetic and style.My approach is easy, I want you to enjoy your day and I’m invested in every couple I meet. You will find me crying as you read your vows, laughing as your best man gives the speech and bobbing around on the dance floor taking pictures at the end of the night.

Hello my name is Sebastian, but you can call me Sab if you’d like!
I’m a Professional Photographer based in Barry’s Bay, ON and have been capturing weddings and events since 2017.
Since being born in 1997, my passion of the arts has always been present and continues to grow daily.
Growing up in an artistic family I had many adults to look up to, some of whom are professional artists, architects, landscapers and a good majority in the marketing world. I was given my first digital camera at the age of 12 and instantly fell in love with taking photographs. In 2016 I enrolled in the Algonquin Photography Program—(which was probably the best decision I’ve ever made). I received my photography diploma in 2018 & formally joined the photography industry right after as Sab Michael Photography.
When starting my business as Sab Michael Photography, I was working as a full service photographer with the vast majority of my clients being from the Ottawa Valley. I have a wide variety of experience with portraits, commercial work, weddings and even white water action photography!
Weddings have always stood out and have been a favourite of mine. I have been fortunate enough to work as both a solo photographer and as second shooter for other talented photographers. I met Maureen back in 2017 when I was first entering the profession of photography. Over the years I've now had the pleasure of working with her countless times photographing weddings & assisted in a few fun projects.
Working with Maureen has always felt effortless and natural. She has been a huge inspiration for me and our photography styles compliment one another so well... And not to brag, but we are a dream team!!!
